HOW IT HAPPENED:

Round Rock got the scoring started in the first frame. With CF Dustin Harris on third base, DH Trevor Hauver collected an infield single to score Harris and make it 1-0.

In the second inning, the Express came back with a long ball. A one-out walk for C Cooper Johnson setup 3B Frainyer Chavez. He belted a two-run blast to right field and extended the Round Rock lead to 3-0. Tacoma had an answer in the home-half. 1B Tyler Locklear homered on the first pitch he saw to cut the E-Train lead at 3-1.

The Express grabbed a run back in the top of the third inning. This time it was RF Billy McKinney with a solo shot to push the lead to 4-1. The Rainers responded with five runs in the fifth inning. After a single for 2B Samad Taylor brought home one run, a grand slam for C Harry Ford gave Tacoma their first lead of the night at 6-4.

The Express tied the game with back-to-back home runs in the sixth from C Cooper Johnson and Chavez. The Rainiers answered right back in the home half on an RBI single from CF Rhylan Thomas and an RBI double for Locklear.

In the eighth inning, all nine batters came to the plate as Tacoma plated three runs on four hits with an RBI single from Ford, a sacrifice fly for RF Leody Taveras and a single for DH Spencer Packard to make it 11-6 where the score stood final.

E-TRAIN EXCERPTS:

CHAVEZ HOME RUNS: In his first game back with the Express since May 25, 3B Frainyer Chavez finished 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored. It was the first multi-homer game of his career. He has three home runs in seven games with the Express this year after having three home runs in 61 games with Double-A Frisco this season.

TRY TO STOP TREVOR: Round Rock LF Trevor Hauver extended his on-base streak to 32 games after going 1-for-4 with an RBI, a walk and two strikeouts. He is owns the longest active on-base streak in the PCL and is now tied with Reno OF Jorge Barrosa (32) for the longest on-base streak of any PCL player this season. Hauver is just the sixth player in E-Train history to reach base in 31 consecutive games. DH Joey Butler holds the E-Train record with his 35-game streak from July 22 to September 2 in 2013.
