Oklahoma City Handles Round Rock 15-1 on Wednesday

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Oklahoma City SS Alex Freeland homered in his first at-bat in the top of the first giving the Comets an early 1-0 edge.
For the second consecutive game, the Comets plated five runs in the second inning. Round Rock RHP Robert Dugger allowed a double and issued four walks resulting in two runs. With the bases juiced, Oklahoma City 1B Michael Chavis recorded his second double of the day, sending the Comets ahead 6-0.
The Express got on the board in the fourth with a run on three hits. CF Michael Helman and DH Alan Trejo recorded singles then SS Richie Martin drove Helman in with a base hit to left and Round Rock trailed 6-1 after four.
Oklahoma City LF Esteury Ruiz belted a three-run homer in the fifth. An inning later, the Comets scratched three runs across on a Freeland groundout and RBI singles from Chavis and 3B Kody Hoese extending their lead to 12-1 after six.
RF James Outman added a homer in the bottom of the seventh to make it 13-1.
A pair of RBI singles from Ruiz and CF Justin Dean in the bottom of the eighth sent it to a final of 15-1 as the Comets took game two on Wednesday afternoon.

PEYTON TOSSING BLANKS: RHP Peyton Gray notched his seventh scoreless appearance of the year on Wednesday afternoon. Gray allowed two hits and struck out three batters in 2.1 innings out of the bullpen. The right-hander has struck out 28 batters and walked eight across 12 appearances.
