The Chihuahuas took the lead with four runs on four hits in the top of the third. RF Yonathan Perlaza tallied an RBI single and C Luis Campusano drew a bases-loaded walk. Then, back-to-back RBI singles from 1B Nate Mondou and SS Mason McCoy gave El Paso a 4-3 edge.

Round Rock C Cooper Johnson opened the bottom of the fourth with a triple into the right-center gap. SS Richie Martin snuck a single through the infield and Johnson came home to tie the game at four.

The Express drew a pair of walks to start the seventh and CF Michael Helman laid down a sacrifice bunt, allowing RF Kellen Strahm and Osuna to advance. Freeman dropped a single into the outfield that sent Strahm in to make it 5-4.

El Paso DH Rodolfo Durán then tied the game with a solo home run in the top of the eighth.

Durán broke the tie in the 10th with a RBI double past the glove of Freeman at third base. Freeman later made a throwing error in his attempt to throw out Campusano at first. Two runs scored on the play, extending El Paso’s lead to 8-5.

Martin hit a RBI single in the bottom of the frame but the Chihuahuas held on, tying the series with a 8-6 win.
