HOW IT HAPPENED:

Round Rock DH Alan Trejo kicked off the night’s scoring with a two-run home run in the fourth inning that scored CF Dustin Harris, who had reached on a single.

In the top of the fifth, Albuquerque 3B Aaron Schunk knocked a leadoff single, moved to second on a sacrifice fly from 2B Adael Amador, third as SS Ezequiel Tovar grounded out and scored thanks to a single off the bat of RF Zac Veen to come within one run.

Express 1B Blaine Crim made it a 3-1 game in the sixth inning when he rounded the bases on a single, Isotopes throwing error, Harris groundout and Kellen Strahm RBI single.

Crim and Harris hit back-to-back solo home runs in the bottom of the eighth to put Round Rock ahead, 5-1.

E-TRAIN EXCERPTS:

PLASSMEYER ON THE BUMP: Express LHP Michael Plassmeyer earned the win, tossing 5.2 innings that saw just one run on five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts. The seven Ks are a season high for the lefty. Saturday’s outing was the first time since May 28 that Plassmeyer has allowed one or fewer runs to score while on the mound.

SBORZ SHOWING: Texas Rangers RHP Josh Sborz made his first rehab outing on Saturday night. The righty threw 0.2 innings to start the contest and allowed two hits and one walk while securing one strikeout. He threw 26 pitches, 15 of which were strikes.

AT THE PLATE: Albuquerque outhit Round Rock 10-8 on Saturday night, marking just the 11th time this season that the Express has won when being outhit by their opponent.

SCORELESS OUTINGS: Round Rock RHP Cole Winn and LHP Robby Ahlstrom combined for 3.0 shutout innings of relief. Winn threw 2.1 and recorded one punchout while Ahlstrom secured the final out of the game with a groundout.
