All-new for the 2026 season, the Birmingham Barons are excited to introduce Lillie's Library Challenge, a program designed to inspire and encourage kids across Central Alabama to develop a love for reading. Lillie Mays is challenging local K–8 students to knock it out of the park by reading four books!
All participating students will receive a free Barons bookmark, and those who reach their reading goal will earn two (2) free Barons game tickets for a Lillie’s Library Challenge Night at Regions Field! Students who redeem their tickets for one of the designated reading nights will also have the opportunity to take part in a special on-field pregame parade to celebrate their achievement.
Schools with full student participation will also be eligible for a special school assembly featuring Lillie Mays herself, bringing the Barons favorite mascot and plenty of baseball fun straight to your school!
