Stadium Policies

The health and safety of our fans, employees and players is the Vancouver Canadians top priority. Our bag policy will speed up entry to the ballpark and minimize staff-to-fan cross contamination.

Diaper bags are permitted at Nat Bailey Stadium, provided they can fit under your seat.
Security must be able to see inside and identify items to the bottom of the bag. Backpacks, multi-compartment bags, duffel bags and purses larger than 12" x 6" x 12” are not permitted. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items or single compartment diaper bags (child must be present).
Bags smaller than 12" x 6" x 12" that are not clear, will require a bag search.

Bag Policy FAQ

What can I do to get into the ballpark before first pitch? Arrive early, know which items are prohibited and avoid bringing a bag if at all possible. Gates open one hour before first pitch.

Do I have to put everything I’m carrying into the my bag? No. Fans are limited only to the type of bags carried into the ballpark, not items that they may normally bring to a game that fit in pockets or clutch bags (e.g. keys, makeup, feminine products, phone, wallet). Fans may carry binoculars around their necks or in their hands without a case. Fans may also use the clear bag to carry these items and other permissible items. In all cases, carried items are subject to search.

If I have certain items that I need to bring into the ballpark for medical reasons and they won’t fit in the clear bag, what do I do? Fans carrying required medical supplies or devices into the ballpark are not subject to the clear bag policy, but will still be subject to a bag search.

Are all purses prohibited? Fans are encouraged not to bring any bags, but any bags that are smaller than 12" x 6" x 12" are permitted. The policy has been created to balance fan needs with improved safety and convenience.

Does this bag policy apply to credential individuals (e.g., media & working staff)? Credentialed media must show credential and will be permitted to bring bags that do not meet the guidelines. However, those bags will be searched at the bag search tables and must remain with the credentialed individual throughout their stay at Nat Bailey Stadium. Only bags that pass inspection will be allowed inside the ballpark.

What happens if I show up at the gate with a bag that is not permitted? Fans carrying bags that do not comply with the Bag Policy will be asked to return their bags to their vehicle and transfer their belongings to an approved bag before entering Nat Bailey Stadium. Clear bags are available for purchase at the team store, if fans do not bring one.

Can I bring my own seat cushion into the stadium? You can bring in a seat cushion as long as it does not have a metal or hard plastic frame. It will still need to be checked by security.

Can I bring a non-clear bag if it fits inside the approved clear bag? No. The only permitted non-clear bags are small clutches no bigger than 5" x 8".

Where can I purchase a bag that meets the Canadians Bag criteria? Clear bags can be purchased at the Team Store.

What if I do not have a bag or any items that need to be checked by security? Guests that do not bring a bag to the ballpark will be able to bypass the bag search tables.

Strollers

Due to limited space, our stroller storage location has changed. Fans needing to check their strollers can do so at the Amrize Children's Play Area next to the 3rd Base Gate. Guests with strollers must enter through the 3rd Base Gate as strollers are not permitted in the seating bowl.

In and Out Policy

Re-entry will be permitted at 1st and 3rd Base Gates only. Fans will be given a hand stamp and must show their ticket and stamp upon re-entry.

Prohibited Items

The following items are not permitted at Nat Bailey Stadium

Outside Food or Drink (other than items for unique dietary needs)
Weapons, alcohol and/or illegal drugs
Visible intoxication, impairment from or possession of illegal substances.
Any tobacco products, including e-cigarettes & vaporizers
Animals (except those that assist people with disabilities)
Seat cushions with metal or hard plastic frames
Obscene or indecent clothing
Hard sided coolers or ice chests
Large flags, banners or signs
Video or movie cameras
Fireworks, whistles or brooms
Laser pens/pointers
Stools or folding chairs
Anything that can be used as a projectile or deemed dangerous
Containers larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches
Beach balls and other inflatables
Glass bottles
Fireworks
Firearms or other weapons (e.g., knives)
Laser devices and pointers
Skateboards and rollerblades
Toy guns and knives (including water guns)
Sticks and clubs
Unmanned aerial vehicles.

Fan Code of Conduct

In order to provide a welcoming experience for all, the Vancouver Canadians have implemented a Fan Code of Conduct. Out of respect for fellow guests, players, coaches, and ballpark staff, all guests are prohibited from:

Trespassing on the playing field at any time;
Interfering with baseballs that are in play;
Throwing or tossing objects;
Using foul, obscene or derogatory language (see below) or gestures;
Misusing or overconsuming alcohol, including, underage consumption;
Behaving in a manner that is disruptive, unruly, or abusive;
Accessing areas of the ballpark without a proper ticket, pass, or credential;
Misusing tickets, passes, or credentials in any way;
Bringing prohibited items into the ballpark. For a complete list of prohibited items, please see above

Derogatory language is defined as offensive language concerning a person’s race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, or national origin, and anyone using such language is subject to automatic ejection from the ballpark.

Violations of the Fan Code of Conduct will not be tolerated and may lead to ejection from the ballpark, a ban on attending future games, or other consequences. Guests who are found to have used derogatory language will be ejected from the ballpark.

Guests are encouraged to report violations of the Fan Code of Conduct to the nearest ballpark staff member. This can be done in person, at Guest Services, directly with Ballpark Security or by emailing [email protected].
