With the Minor League Baseball season now concluded and the MLB Playoffs underway, a few players with ties to the Tulsa Drillers have earned postseason honors for their performances during the minor league season. Josue De Paula, who finished the 2025 season with the Drillers, along with former Tulsa players Ryan Ward and Hueston Morrill, were named All-Stars in their respective leagues.
Los Angeles Dodgers #1 ranked prospect De Paula was named a Midwest League All-Star. De Paula appeared in 98 games with Great Lakes and hit .263 with 12 home runs and 44 RBI. He also was second in the league in walks (81), on-base percentage (.406) and OPS (.827).
De Paula also played in the MLB Futures Game and was named MVP after hitting a go-ahead three-run homer. Following the conclusion of the Midwest League season, De Paula was promoted to the Drillers and appeared in four games during the final week of the season. He is now set to play in the Arizona Fall League, beginning October 7.
Oklahoma City Comets outfielder Ward earned two awards at the Triple-A level. He was named MVP of the Pacific Coast League and an All-Star as designated hitter. Ward completed one of the best Triple A seasons in recent history as he led all of Minor League Baseball in home runs (36), RBI (122), extra-base hits (73) and total bases (315). His home run total was the highest by a Triple-A player since 2019, and the RBI mark was the most since 2010.
Morrill was named an All-Star as a reliever in the South Atlantic League. He appeared in 33 games for the Hudson Valley Renegades and had a 4-1 record and a 0.42 ERA across 43.1 innings with 38 strikeouts.
Morrill, who played at Oklahoma State University, was a shortstop on the Drillers Texas Collegiate League team in 2020, but he transitioned to pitching when he began his professional career in 2023.
