By the end of the 2025 season, there was little doubt who held the respect of Reno’s clubhouse. Aramis García, the veteran catcher, had earned the title of clubhouse captain through his leadership, steady presence, and knack for delivering in big moments.
García’s impact was felt on both sides of the ball. His bat brought thunder to the middle of Reno’s lineup, highlighted by a red-hot month of May. That stretch began with a two-homer performance against Sacramento on May 1, and it only got better from there. He went on to hit .308 (16-for-52) with seven home runs and 14 RBI during the month, including a remarkable run of long balls in three consecutive games from May 20–24.
At Greater Nevada Field, García was at his best. In 41 home games, he slashed .285/.385/.535 with 10 home runs, six doubles, and 34 RBI, turning Reno’s ballpark into a stage for some of his finest work.

His play earned him a brief stint in the majors with the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he appeared in two games — a reminder of his big-league experience and the professionalism he brought to Reno every day.
But numbers alone didn’t define García’s season. His leadership in the clubhouse, ability to guide a pitching staff, and willingness to set the standard for younger teammates made him the Aces’ cornerstone. Over the course of 2025, he didn’t just contribute — he became the team’s captain in every sense of the word.
The Reno Aces’ 2026 home opener is set for Friday, March 27th, as they host the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Season tickets are currently on sale – for more information, fans can visit RenoAces.com or call (775) 334-7000.
