KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (July 5, 2017) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have promoted infielder
Dexter, 23, appeared in 10 games for Kannapolis since joining the team to open the Second Half of the South Atlantic League season. He batted .276 (8-29) with a double, a triple, four RBI, and two runs scored while posting a .400 on-base percentage. The White Sox selected Dexter in the 23rd round of the June 2016 First-Year Player Draft, and he split his professional debut between the Arizona League White Sox, Great Falls, and Kannapolis last season. In 2016, he hit .234 (36-154) with six doubles, a triple, two home runs, 18 RBI, 17 runs scored, and four stolen bases in 48 games across three classifications. While playing collegiately at Southern Maine, he was named Little League Conference Player of the Year and All-Conference First Team as senior in 2016.
