JUPITER, FL (September 2, 2025) – Jupiter Hammerheads outfielder Andres Valor earned Florida State League Player of the Week for his performance during the week of August 25-31 against the Palm Beach Cardinals. In six games against Palm Beach last week, Valor went 10-for-27 at the plate with two home runs, three doubles, seven RBIs, six runs scored, and three stolen bases. On Tuesday, August 26th, Valor delivered the walk-off RBI fielder’s choice in the bottom of the 11th inning to secure a 7-6 victory in the series opening game.

On Wednesday, August 27th, Valor had his best offensive game as a professional. The 19-year-old went 4-for-6 at the plate with two home runs, including the game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to force extra innings. For Valor, it marked the first multi-home run game in his career. Valor also finished a triple shy of a cycle and tallied three RBIs and four runs scored on Wednesday night.

Entering the final regular season series of 2025, Valor is slashing .233/.340/.374/.714 across 103 games with nine home runs and 50 RBIs. The young outfielder currently leads the Jupiter Hammerheads with 43 stolen bases which is also third most in the Florida State League.

This is Valor’s second weekly award in his professional career having previously won Florida Complex League Player of the Week on June 16th, 2024.

Valor joins teammates LHP Julio Mendez (July 28-August 3) and LHP Dameivi Tineo (June 22-29) having won weekly honors in the Florida State League in the 2025 season.

The Miami Marlins signed Valor as an international free agent on January 15th, 2023 out of Venezuela. 2025 marks his first season at the Single-A level having previously played for the FCL-Marlins in 2024 and for DSL-Miami in the Dominican Summer League in 2023.

The Jupiter Hammerheads visit the Lakeland Flying Tigers September 2nd-7th for the final series of the 2025 regular season after being eliminated from playoff contention.
