The Harrisburg Senators grabbed an early lead Saturday night in Chesapeake but couldn’t hold on as the Baysox pulled away late for a 5–1 win at Prince George’s Stadium.

Harrisburg struck quickly in the first inning when Seaver King doubled and came home on Joe Naranjo’s RBI single. That would be the Senators’ lone run of the night, however, as Baysox starter Luis De León and reliever Trace

Bright combined for 13 strikeouts to keep Harrisburg off balance.

Chesapeake tied it in the bottom of the first and nudged ahead in the fifth on a two-out RBI single by Creed Willems. The decisive blow came in the eighth, when Aron Estrada doubled home a run and Thomas Sosa followed with a two-run homer to center, stretching the Baysox lead to 5–1.

King paced the Senators with three hits and Naranjo chipped in with two hits, but the Senators went just 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position and hit into three double plays.
