HOW IT HAPPENED:
Round Rock RF Billy McKinney kicked things off with a solo home run in the top of the first for a 1-0 lead.
The Rainiers responded with a trio of home runs from 2B Samad Taylor, RF Rhylan Thomas and 1B Tyler Locklear. DH Spencer Packard also reached on a fielder’s choice and CF Leody Taveras came home on the play as Tacoma took a 4-1 edge after one.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Rainiers loaded the bags and plated a run on SS Leo Rivas’ walk to extend their lead to 5-1.
Tacoma 3B Jack López led off the eighth with a double and Rivas sent him around with a single to right, capping the scoring at 6-1.
Rainiers RHP Casey Lawrence held the Express to just two hits and a walk en route to throwing the Pacific Coast League’s first nine-inning complete game of the year. Tacoma took a 3-0 series lead with their 6-1 victory on Thursday night.

HARRIS HEATING UP: Round Rock OF Dustin Harris went 1-for-4 with a single on Thursday night. Harris now has a five-game hitting streak and a hit 12 of 15 games this month. The outfielder is batting .313 (20-64) with two doubles, three homers, seven RBI, 10 runs, 10 strikeouts and seven walks in July.
