Randy Dobnak’s journey of persistence in the game of baseball is the stuff of legend. From near five-star Uber driver to contract extension with the Twins, the 30-year-old is still going strong in the game.
Currently pitching for Triple-A St. Paul, Dobnak added another memory at the ballpark he’ll never forget before Saturday’s contest at CHS Field.
You’ve seen excellent first pitches before. You’ve seen bad ones. But have you seen one as cute as this? River Dobnak, Randy’s daughter, knocked out two birds with one stone in the Twin Cities, also announcing the gender of her soon-to-be newest sibling as she walked the ball over to her bespeckled dad.
A smiling Dobnak held up the ball to reveal “It’s a Girl!” to the camera before embracing his wife, Aerial.
There may be a few years difference between River and the next member of the Dobnak clan, but if they do start to look a bit alike in the next few years, you’ll have to forgive us if we mistake them for Twins.
