The Harrisburg Senators couldn’t hold off Akron’s late surge Tuesday night at FNB Field, as the RubberDucks used a five-run seventh inning to pull away for a 7–3 win.

After trading blows early, with Jacob Cozart and Carlos De La Cruz exchanging solo home runs in the second and both clubs tacking on another in the third, the game settled into a 2–2 deadlock into the middle innings.

That changed in the top of the seventh when Akron strung together five hits against the Senators bullpen. Alex Mooney and Christian Knapczyk delivered RBI singles, Angel Genao added another run-scoring knock, and Ralphy

Velazquez capped the rally with a two-run single. By the time the dust settled, Akron led 7–2.

Harrisburg scratched across one more in the eighth on Seaver King’s RBI single, but that was as close as the Senators would get. King and Cayden Wallace each had two hits, with Wallace adding a double, while Carlos De La Cruz provided the early spark with his 13th homer of the season.

Chance Huff (5–3) took the loss, charged with four runs in the seventh. Starter Alex Clemmey struck out seven but exited after 5.2 innings with the game tied. Akron’s bullpen combined for 3.1 innings of one-run ball, with Tyler Thornton (2–1) earning the win.
