In the bottom of the second, Round Rock CF Kellen Strahm poked a single into left field sending 2B Justin Foscue home from third. With runners on first and third, a successful double steal allowed C Cooper Johnson to score for a 2-0 Express lead.
Albuquerque got on the board in the top of the third. SS Jose Torres drew a walk and scored from first on 2B Adael Amador’s double into right.
The Isotopes evened the score in the ninth. CF Sam Hilliard recorded a double then moved to third on a passed ball. Albuquerque loaded the bases with a pair of walks and LF Sterlin Thompson drove Hilliard in with a sacrifice fly to right, sending it to extra innings tied at two.
Albuquerque 3B Warming Bernabel began the 10th on second base and Torres sent him around with a single into center. The Isotopes took a 3-2 lead that stood final.
