Marcucci enters his seventh season with Kannapolis after joining the organization as the Assistant General Manager in October of 2018. The 2022 season with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers will be his 11th season working in Minor League Baseball. Prior to joining Kannapolis, he spent three seasons with the Wilmington Blue Rocks and four seasons with the Trenton Thunder. Marcucci was the Director of Corporate and Community Affairs with the Thunder and served as the Executive Director of Trenton Thunder Charities.

Over the past few years, Marcucci has served on a variety of community and charitable organizations boards and committees. Marcucci has served as a Board of Director for United Way of Greater Mercer County and Advancing Opportunities. In addition, Marcucci was the Vice-chair of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals and a committee member of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals. During his time with the Thunder, Marcucci was named the 2018 Young Professional of the Year by the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce and a 2017 Champion for Business by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce. Currently, he serves on the board of the Kannapolis YMCA and as the Vice-Chair of the Cabarrus County Hospitality & Tourism Academy for Cabarrus County Schools.

Marcucci is a graduate of West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and minor in Sports and Exercise Psychology. A native of Woodstown, New Jersey, Marcucci and his wife Sarah now reside in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

Matt Millward | General Manager

Matt Millward joined the organization in February 2019 after more than a decade of experience with two of the most successful franchises in Minor League Baseball. A native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Matt is a graduate of Penn State University, earning a degree in Business Management.

His start in baseball came in 2008 with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Triple-A Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. During this time, Matt gained fundamental experience in ticket sales that laid the basis for a future career in professional sports.

His next career stop led him to the Carolinas in 2010, when he joined the Charlotte Knights while the team called Knights Stadium in Fort Mill (SC) home. He played a pivotal role in strategic planning for the Knights’ successful move to Uptown Charlotte in 2014 and ultimately rose through the ranks to become Charlotte’s Vice President of Ticket Sales and Operations. His efforts contributed to the Knights’ status as the MiLB leader in attendance for four seasons from 2014 through 2018. During this timeframe, Matt also served as a Board Member for Charlotte Knights Charities.

Since arriving in Kannapolis in 2019, Matt has overseen the successful launch of Atrium Health Ballpark and played an instrumental role in establishing the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers brand. Under his leadership, the organization has experienced significant growth in attendance, revenue, and community engagement, earning recognition as one of Minor League Baseball’s most innovative franchises.

In addition to his role with the Cannon Ballers, Matt serves on the Board of Directors for the Cabarrus Chamber of Commerce and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Foundation, and is passionate about fundraising for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Outside of the ballpark, Matt enjoys time with his dogs, Milton and Kacey, and is an avid supporter of all Philadelphia sports teams and Penn State football.

Josh Otterline | Vice President of Sales

Raised in Texas and a proud graduate of the University of Georgia, Josh has spent over a decade building his career in sports. He began on the Operations side with the Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals, and Charleston RiverDogs before transitioning full-time into Partnership Development five years ago.

Prior to joining the Cannon Ballers, Josh spent three seasons with the Charlotte Hornets, where he negotiated and activated six- and seven-figure partnerships with national and regional brands.

Passionate about baseball, teamwork, and the “everybody pulls tarp” mindset, Josh is driven by the opportunity to create impact—both in business and in helping emerging leaders grow into the best versions of themselves. He is proud to be part of an organization on the rise, one that is making a meaningful difference for fans, businesses, and the community. Josh has served on the Advisory Board for Dream On 3’s Charlotte Chapter and previously as Honorary Commander for Joint Base Charleston and the 300th Airlift Squadron.

When not at the ballpark, Josh can usually be found outdoors with his family—hiking, hunting, grilling, or relaxing by the firepit.

Walker Brooke | Director of Ticket Sales

A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Walker is in his fifth season with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. Walker began his tenure in North Carolina, as Ticket Sales Account Executive in January 2020 before being promoted to Senior Account Executive in January 2022. After a strong start to the 2022 season, Walker was promoted to Ticket Sales Manager in June 2022. After successful 2023 & 2024 campaigns, Walker earned another promotion and was named as the Director of Ticket Sales for the organization in December 2024

In his current role, Walker oversees strategic planning for season ticket, mini plan, group & hospitality, single game tickets as well as renewing existing ticket holders. Walker also plans, coordinates, and executes all season ticket holder events for the team.

Prior joining the Cannon Ballers, Walker graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in May 2019, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and minor in Sport Management. While pursuing his degree, Walker worked in the Athletic Department as a Communications Intern. In this role, Walker worked closely with the department’s Sports Information Directors to prepare game notes for team’s upcoming matchups. Additionally, Walker assisted with providing live in-game social media updates, for the baseball, men’s & women’s basketball, and both gymnastics teams. During the 2019 baseball season, Walker helped grow the team's followers by 20% on Instagram. Upon graduation, Walker returned home to Pennsylvania to work in the financial services industry as a Corporate Finance Intern with First National Bank at their headquarters.

Patrick Hicks | Group Sales Manager

Patrick joined the organization in July 2021 as a Ticket Sales Account Executive and was promoted during the 2022 season to Group Sales Manager. Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, he moved to Charlotte in April 2021 and really enjoys living in the South End area.

Patrick graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. In his free time, Patrick enjoys playing golf, basketball, and tennis as well as watching whatever sports are in season.

A Greensboro, NC native, Lauren is entering her third season with the Cannon Ballers. Over a decade in baseball has fostered a love for all things ticketing!

When not working, Lauren's favorite place to be is the beach or exploring a new place with friends and family. There is also a 99% chance you'll see her in the ballpark doting on her niece, Natalyn, aka baseballs next biggest fan, during games this season.

Alex Seufert | Ticket Sales Account Executive

A native of Sykesville, Maryland, Alex graduated from Catawba College in 2023 with his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration. Alex completed his internship with the Cannon Ballers during the 2021 season and joined the front office staff full time starting in 2023. His favorite part about working for the Cannon Ballers is connecting with fans on a personal level and making sure everybody is having a blast!

Alex is a lover of all sports, but is especially passionate about racing. In 2022, he joined Richard Childress Racing, one of the top teams in the NASCAR garage, completing a PR and Marketing internship with the team. When he’s not at the ballpark, you can find him hiking, helping the Athletic Department at his alma mater, racing go karts, or attending races across the national and grassroots levels.

Geri Kohn | Ticket Sales Account Executive

Geri Kohn is originally from Malvern, Pennsylvania and graduated from Lynn University in 2023 with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Marketing. Following graduation, she gained valuable experience working at the US Open Tennis Tournament in the Women’s Locker Room, supporting players during the tournament.

Geri joined the Cannon Ballers ahead of the 2025 season and made an immediate impact by helping fans enjoy a memorable experience at Atrium Health Ballpark. She is excited to continue building relationships with the Cannon Ballers’ fanbase and looks forward to being part of the team’s growth in the upcoming years.

Outside of work, Geri enjoys cooking and baking, spending time by the pool, hanging out with friends, and cheering on her beloved New York Rangers, Mets, and Giants!

Drew Zeigler | Ticket Sales Account Executive

Drew Zeigler is a native of Burlington, NC and a 2023 graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, where he earned a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology. During his time in Chapel Hill, he coached AAU basketball, worked as a lacrosse trainer, and served as co-director of the lacrosse program at Camp Caribou in Maine. Following graduation, he earned his Personal Trainer License while working as Grocery Coordinator at Wegmans before joining the Cannon Ballers at the start of 2025.

In his free time, Drew enjoys painting, collecting vinyl records, and playing lacrosse. Music is his second biggest passion, and he hopes to one day own his own vinyl record shop.

Drew currently serves as a Ticket Sales Account Executive with the Cannon Ballers, working with the team’s Season Ticket and Mini Plan Holders while also planning group outings for companies, teams, and large groups of families and friends. He loves his job because of the connections he builds with fans on game days, describing the atmosphere in Kannapolis as “one big family.”

Parker is from Chapel Hill, NC, and graduated with distinction from the University of South Carolina in May 2025 with a degree in Sport and Entertainment Management. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Cannon Ballers as a Seasonal Sales Associate, where he focused on creating meaningful experiences and building connections with the fanbase. Following the season, he accepted a full-time role as an Account Executive, where he continues working to enhance the incredible atmosphere in Kannapolis.

Outside of work, Parker enjoys golfing, cheering on the Gamecocks and Steelers, and spending time with friends.

Scott Chandler | Accounting Manager

Scott was born and raised in Broken Arrow, OK prior to moving to attend college at Iowa State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accountancy. After graduation, he remained in Iowa to start his career in public accounting as a financial auditor.

In July of 2024, he made the move to Kannapolis to combine his passions for baseball and finance and join the Cannon Ballers front office. His favorite part about working for Cannon Ballers is the opportunity to positively impact the community and connect with our passionate fanbase.

When he's not at the ballpark, Scott loves to travel and visit family, attend concerts, play soccer, and watch Iowa State sports - Go Cyclones!

Brittani Stamey | Special Events Manager

Brittani Stamey grew up in Mooresville, NC, and studied at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte before beginning her career in music festival production. After several years in the industry, she embraced a new opportunity as the Special Events Manager for the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. She loves the family-like atmosphere of the organization, noting that no matter how long or tiring the baseball season gets, everyone is always there to support one another.

Outside of work, Brittani can often be found in a group fitness class, walking with friends to grab coffee, enjoying time at a brewery, or passionately cheering on her favorite teams during football and hockey season—GO DAWGS, SIC ’EM, WOOF WOOF WOOF!

Mikayla Tucker | Community Relations Associate

Mikayla Tucker joined the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers front office as Community Relations Associate in 2025 after previously serving on the team’s promotions staff since 2021. A native of Salisbury, North Carolina, she is passionate about creating meaningful connections with fans and making a positive impact in the community beyond the game itself.

Mikayla is a 2024 graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, where she earned her degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management with a specialization in Sports. During her time at JWU, she was a standout volleyball player, earning Honorable Mention All-American, Second Team All-American, and two-time All-Academic American honors. Off the court, she served on SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), the Athletic Social Justice Coalition, and as a student assistant for athletics, while also leading as President of the Sports Marketing Club.

Her guiding philosophy is simple: “Always make others smile, because you never know what they are going through.” That outlook fuels her work in community relations, where she strives to bring joy and build lasting relationships across Cannon Ballers Nation.

In her free time, Mikayla can often be found coaching volleyball, watching hockey or football, or spending time with family and friends.

Trevor Wilt | Director of Entertainment & Fan Engagement

A native of Concord, North Carolina, Wilt enters his 3rd season in Kannapolis after graduating from UNC Charlotte in 2017 with a degree in Communications and a minor in Journalism. During the off-season, Wilt calls men's basketball games for the Charlotte 49ers as the color analyst alongside the Charlotte Knights' legendary broadcaster, Matt Swierad.

As a student at Charlotte, he was the play-by-play broadcaster for seven different sports, including baseball, his true passion. Along with broadcasting, Wilt was the sports editor for the campus paper, the Niner Times, where he also hosted a weekly sports radio show that highlighted sports around the Charlotte area.

In his free time, you can typically find Wilt watching The Office, playing/watching sports or hanging with his friends and family. Feel free to come up to the press box and talk baseball with him and his radio partner, Ron Burgundy (yes, he has a 6-foot cutout of his favorite movie character).

Rolph Mejia | Director of Video Production

The 2025 season marks Rolph’s debut with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers as Director of Video Production. Coming all the way from the San Francisco Bay Area, Rolph has been passionate about Video Production since high school. He began working full time as a Videographer in 2016, primarily working with local non-profits, businesses, documentary, and commercial work. Rolph's passion for storytelling is what drives him to be the best in his industry.

Before working in baseball, Rolph worked for Visual Street Films, a production company based in the Bay Area where he started as an Intern in 2016 and then became Head Editor in 2018. In 2020, Rolph began to freelance his video services as his own business, focusing on non profit organizations in his hometown of Redwood City.

In 2023, Rolph decided he wanted to continue his career in Video Production but in professional baseball. After a chance encounter at the MLB Winter Meetings, he found his first opportunity to work as a Video Production Assistant for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans for the 2024 season. Rolph has loved his short time in baseball, and is excited to continue to progress for what he hopes will be a long career in the sport.

Outside the ballpark, Rolph enjoys making music, watching documentaries, and exploring the surrounding areas in Charlotte.

Tim Siegel | Director of Grounds & Facility Operations

The man who plays with dirt and grass, Tim was born and raised in Miami, FL where he started his career with the Miami Marlins in 2016. Since then, Tim has worked for three other MLB teams as well as the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. When Tim is not is at the ballpark (which is a rare occassion), you can catch him working on his backyard wiffle ball field, trying to survive Call of Duty lobbies, or exploring the great outdoors with his beautiful wife and son.

Henry Counsell | Facility Operations Manager

Born and raised in Fredericksburg, Va, Henry graduated from James Madison University in 2023 with a degree in sports management.
Before joining the team in January 2025, he spent the previous two seasons in Davenport, Iowa working for the Quad Cities River Bandits.

Henry loves working in minor league baseball as he has a deep love for baseball but also a love for the energy and passionate fans that come with the game. When not at the stadium, he enjoys all things sports, especially cheering on his DC teams and JMU Dukes, but also loves spending time outside, hanging with his fiancee, and enjoying South End Charlotte.

Jonathan Null | Assistant Manager of Grounds & Facility Operations

Jonathan Null is a North Carolina native (Richfield) who grew up loving and playing baseball for 13 years. With a deep love for baseball, Jonathan is no stranger to our organization, having grown up attending Kannapolis Intimidators games.

A graduate of Pfieffer University, Jonathan started out in the Ballers organization in 2023 as a game day grounds crew staff member. From there, through his hard work, he was able to make his way up to the Assistant Manager of Grounds & Facility Operations position.

In his free time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family & friends, going to the gym, fishing and occasionally playing in slow pitch softball tournaments.

Dan Helotie | Media Relations Coordinator

Dan Helotie returns to the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers for his third season as Media Relations Coordinator and main play-by-play broadcaster. A native of Tampa, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina, Helotie is responsible for all broadcasting duties, written publications and interview requests for the players, coaches and front office members for the Ballers.

Helotie, who is entering his seventh season in Minor League Baseball, began as a game day press box staff member in 2019 before serving as Press Box Assistant in 2021. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Writing, Rhetoric & Digital Studies from the University of North Carolina Charlotte (Go Niners!), where he also serves as a media relations student assistant. Helotie also freelances in the MiLB offseason as a collegiate statistician for four different sports.

As one of the youngest full play-by-play broadcasters in MiLB at just 25, Helotie brings an unmatched passion for the game of baseball to every broadcast. Off the microphone, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife Lauren, watching hockey, trying new restaurants, traveling and playing a lot of pickleball.

Eli Fugitt | Clubhouse Manager

A Mooresville, North Carolina native, Eli grew up attending minor league games in Kannapolis and developed a lifelong passion for baseball at an early age. That passion turned into a career with the Cannon Ballers, where he began as a batboy before moving into the role of visiting clubhouse manager. He now serves as the team’s home clubhouse manager.

In his current role, Eli helps manage the day-to-day operations behind the scenes, making sure players and staff have everything they need to perform at their best. Being around the game he grew up loving and contributing to the team environment is what makes the job especially meaningful. Eli was the recipient of the 2023 Carolina League Clubhouse Manager of the Year Award.

Brent Sneed | Director of Retail Operations

He brings years of retail experience gleaned from his time in another sports industry. As a lover of sports with a heart for baseball, Brent is excited to be a part of the Cannon Ballers’ family!

Don Petrere | Director of Food and Beverage Operations

Originally from the north, Don has grown to love and call the south his own, except for sweet tea! He has a passion for sports and food that has served him well in his 10-plus years in food service having worked with the NBA, NASCAR, NCAA, and Minor League Baseball.

Having a job that allows his to combine all of his passions is priceless and Don continues to elevate the experiences for all our guests in Kannapolis. In his spare time, Don enjoys playing golf and traveling to other ballparks in search of new and exciting food concepts.

Mason Koob | Concessions Manager

Mason Koob is a Concord, NC native and proud graduate of East Carolina University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. While pursuing his degree, Mason built his career in the food and beverage industry, joining Professional Sports Catering in 2019 and quickly moving up through the ranks from Runner to Warehouse Supervisor, then Concessions Supervisor, and now Concessions Manager for the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers.

In his current role, Mason oversees the daily food and beverage operations for Atrium Health Ballpark, leading a team of 75 seasonal employees across 66 home games each year. He takes pride in delivering top-tier hospitality to his hometown community while consistently maintaining outstanding health inspection scores and responsible alcohol practices. Mason thrives in the fast-paced environment of game day operations, where he combines leadership, organization, and creativity to ensure a memorable fan experience.

Mason’s accomplishments include achieving Serv-Safe certifications in both Food Protection and Advanced Alcohol Safety, and earning the rank of Eagle Scout in 2017. Outside the ballpark, Mason enjoys cooking (especially experimenting with new recipes), traveling to North Carolina’s mountains and beaches, and spending quality time with family, friends, and his girlfriend, Venus.

Chris Hightower | Executive Chef

Chris Hightower serves as Executive Chef for Professional Sports Catering and the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, bringing more than two decades of culinary expertise to the ballpark. A lifelong Floridian, Chris grew up in Miami and spent time living in Jacksonville and Naples before relocating to North Carolina, which now feels like home.

A graduate of Miami Palmetto Senior High School, Chris went on to serve in the United States Navy as part of the Pacific Fleet, stationed in Pearl Harbor. His time in the Navy took him to a variety of Asian countries and the Persian Gulf, experiences that continue to influence his cooking style today. While his culinary foundation is rooted in traditional Southern American cuisine, Chris incorporates global flavors—particularly from his travels in Asia—into his approach.

After receiving his honorable discharge, Chris dove headfirst into the restaurant industry, quickly developing a passion for seafood. While seafood can be challenging in a ballpark setting, he looks forward to introducing more of it in his second year with the Cannon Ballers. He’s deeply inspired by the positive impact the team has on the local community and is proud to be part of the PSC and Cannon Ballers family.

After more than 20 years in restaurants, Chris' mission is to help elevate the culinary experience for fans in every way possible.

Fun Facts: Chris is an avid dart player, a hot sauce collector with more than 1,000 bottles, and a vinyl record enthusiast. He’s also a dedicated Atlanta Braves and Miami Dolphins fan.

Kacey Betty | Bat Dog

Kacey Betty is the heart and paws of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers baseball team! Kacey has become the fan favorite attraction of our team and shines under the spotlight over 60 nights a year when she retrieves our player’s baseball bats during each game.

Entering her fourth season as the official bat dog, this spirited Lab brings energy and charm to every home game. Whether she's sprinting out to fetch bats or making new friends in the stands, Kacey’s always the fan favorite. Her speed, loyalty, and wagging tail make her a true MVP – Most Valuable Pup!

What also makes Kacey stand out is her patience and lovingness to children. She is constantly taking pictures and interacting with the younger generation. She is seen throughout the community at festivals, gatherings, and activities representing the team. Kacey’s favorite foods are cheese sticks, popcorn, and baseball leather.

Doobie | Grounds Dog

Doobie, the beloved “Grounds Dog” of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, was rescued from the local shelter Tails of the Unwanted. A three-year-old German Shepherd and Pitbull mix, Doobie can often be spotted keeping watch over the field and grounds of Atrium Health Ballpark.

Known for his sweet personality and endless curiosity, he loves interacting with fans and making new friends. Doobie spends most of his time at the ballpark, where his love for baseball is only matched by the joy he brings to everyone he meets.
