Jeff Dooley is the "Voice of the Yard Goats" and the lead play-by-play announcer for all games (home and road) on radio and television, and hosts complete coverage of the Pregame and Post Game shows. His broadcasts can be heard on the free Audacy app, WTIC.com and select games will be aired on 50,000- watt WTIC AM 1080. All home games are streamed on MLB.TV, MiLB.TV and Bally Sports Live. Dooley is also the lead announcer for the games televised regionally on NESN/NESN+ and on the Rockies Television Network. In 2023, he made his Major League debut and was used as a fill-in announcer for the Colorado Rockies on KOA and the Rockies Radio Network. His play-by-play highlights were showcased on MLB Network and he was a live guest on MLB TONIGHT. Additionally, many of his Yard Goats calls have aired on the Colorado Rockies Radio Network, ESPN, and MLB.com. Dooley hosted the 2023 MLB Home Run Derby X in front of a live audience at Dunkin’ Park.
Dooley hosts a segment on Rockies All-Access, a monthly audio feature, on the KOA Rockies Radio Network and website. In 2015, Dooley was named the Connecticut Sportscaster of the Year by NSMA (National Sports Media Association). Dooley was selected as the play-by-play announcer for a regional telecast on Fox Sports North in Minnesota.
The Lincoln, RI native was behind the microphone for some of the most memorable moments in franchise history, dating back to 1998. He called the first ever game in Yard Goats history in Richmond, Virginia in 2016 and the first professional game played in Hartford in 66 years on opening day, April 13, 2017. Dooley has broadcast three Eastern League Playoff Series, a major league exhibition game with the Minnesota Twins, and the only two no-hitters in franchise history. He was the television play-by-play broadcaster for the 2013 Eastern League All-Star Game and called the 2003 EL All-Star game on radio. Additionally, Dooley was the master of ceremonies at the All-Star Luncheon at the ESPN headquarters in Bristol. The St. Joseph's College (ME) graduate has covered the Major League Playoffs, Major League Winter Meetings and reports from spring training each year. Dooley also hosted a weekly feature on the Twins Pre-Game Show on the Twins' 50-station radio network.
