SALISBURY, MD - It has been a highlight season for Yasmil Bucce, and now he has one more accolade to add to it - a Carolina League All-Star selection.

The 21-year-old catcher for the Delmarva Shorebirds was officially named a Carolina League All-Star for the position of Catcher, earning a spot among the best in the Carolina League this season.

This is no surprise for those who have followed the Shorebirds this season. Yasmil Bucce was consistent and reliable in his 81 games with the Shorebirds. In 2025 for the Shorebirds, Bucce had 339 plate appearances, hitting for a slash of .255/.401/.413 and an OPS of .814. Bucce also added 8 home runs and 50 RBIs along the way. Those numbers positioned him as one of the most productive catchers in the league, earning this well-deserved honor.

Bucce’s impressive season at Delmarva not only earned him an All-Star nod but also a promotion to High-A Aberdeen on July 29 this season. Bucce played in 15 games for the IronBirds before ending his season a couple of weeks early, unfortunately, due to injury.

Yasmil Bucce was signed to the Baltimore Orioles organization as part of the 2021 International signing class. He then spent two years playing in the Dominican Summer League before playing for two years in the Florida Complex League, playing in 117 games in Florida the last couple of seasons.

Yasmil Bucce’s Carolina League All-Star nomination is just the latest homage in what’s been a standout season. As Orioles fans continue to look forward to what’s next in Birdland, Bucce is a prospect to watch as he continues his journey to Camden Yards.
