The Delmarva Shorebirds are looking for a fun-loving, energetic, and outgoing individual to become the next Sherman the Shorebird for the upcoming 2026 season!

As the official mascot of the Shorebirds, Sherman plays an important role in creating a fun, family-friendly environment at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium and representing the team in the community. We are looking for someone who can embody what it means to be Sherman, with a big personality, creativity, and a passion for entertaining fans of all ages.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable in front of big crowds, can think quickly on their feet, and be committed to creating memorable experiences for every home game and special event throughout the 2026 baseball season.

You’ll be expected to perform at all home Shorebirds games and engage with fans through passionate, non-verbal interactions. You must be able to work flexible hours, such as evenings, weekends, and some holidays. You must also be comfortable wearing the mascot costume for extended periods of time throughout varying weather conditions. If you’re animated, reliable, and ready to be the face of the Shorebirds, we want to hear from you!
