Selected in the 6th round of the 2021 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants out of Ohio State University... was previously drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 19th round in the 2017 MLB Draft but did not sign, instead opting to attend Ohio State... majored in Consumer and Family Financial Services... enjoys hunting and fishing... son of Marta and Donovan Lonsway... was born in St. Mary's, Ohio and grew up in Celina, Ohio... attended Celina High School, where he was named the 2017 WBL Player of the Year, was a three-time first team WBL selection and state ACME tournament MVP and was a second team all-district selection... hen set a Celina single-season record with 92 strikeouts during senior year, struck out 17 of the 18 outs recorded in a six-inning game during senior year and finished his high school career with complete-game no-hitter and perfect game to his credit... also lettered in soccer for two years for the Celina Bulldogs, earning back-to-back all-conference honors... joined Ohio State for 2019 after a redshirt 2018 season -- in 2019, he led all Division I freshmen in strikeouts (126) and led the Big Ten in strikeouts in league games (71)... in 2020, he led the nation with 21 strikeouts per nine innings while ranking second in the Big Ten and 10th nationally in total strikeouts for OSU... in 2021, as the team captain, he was fourth in the conference and 20th nationally in strikeouts per nine innings at 12.97... made his Minor League debut with the ACL Giants in 2021, appearing in four games... spent the 2022 season with San Jose, striking our 120 in 95 1/3 innings... moved up to Eugene in 2023, appearing in 28 games for the Ems... made his Double-A debut with Richmond in 2024... reached Triple-A in 2025
