Job Function:
Provide entertainment as our mascot, Moonshot, Rover or Space Squatch, at all 70 home games, playoffs, and outside community appearances throughout the year. During games, meet and greet fans, work closely with the Space Squad during on-field games, and take pictures with fans to enhance the all-around game experience. Be available for outside events to interact and create a positive, fun environment.
The person who performs must accept the responsibility that they are a representative of the Oklahoma City Comets, and in doing so also commits to perform in accordance with the standards and expectations of the organization. The mascot is an exciting and integral part of the in-game entertainment experience and a key component in the Comets community outreach initiatives. The mascot is a highly visible representative of the club and must possess unparalleled excitement and enthusiasm for the Comets and our fans.
Job Function will include but is not limited to:
Be enthusiastic and high-energy
Flexibility to work nights, and weekends and attend outside events throughout the week
Develop, create, and execute skits to be performed on the field or dugouts to enhance the game day experience for all 70 home games.
Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including: body language/mannerisms, attitude, fan interaction
Work well in a team environment
Administer costume maintenance as well as props on a daily basis
Skills, Traits, Qualifications
Due to costume restrictions, candidates must be at least 5 feet 5 inches tall but no more than 6 feet 5 inches tall
Must be well-organized and flexible
Punctuality is mandatory and available to work flexible hours
Fan-friendly and outgoing individual
Works well with children and fellow staff members at any event
Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.

Job Function:
The On-Field Host/Emcee is a key member of the game experience at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and is responsible for leading the execution of all fan-facing pregame activities and in-game promotions.
The Host/Emcee must be energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic while possessing a professional speaking voice and stage presence. The Host/Emcee must truly love performing in front of large crowds and have a high comfort level for interacting with fans of all ages. It is vital that the Host/Emcee is a team player and constantly strives to elevate fellow entertainment staff.
The Host/Emcee will report directly to the Director of Video & Game Presentation and work alongside the Entertainment Coordinator to develop creative as well as ensure a high-quality production.
*Job Qualifications: *
Strong stage presence and desire to perform in front of large crowds.
Ability to memorize scripts with the capacity to improvise.
Understanding of blocking and ability to take stage direction.
Experience in theatrical or performing arts is preferred.
On-camera experience is preferred.
A video audition or example of previous work is required of all candidates.
HOURS:
The Comets’ season consists of 75 home games that are played between April and September. Working as the emcee requires you to be the primary entertainer for the team, working majority of games. Be available for off-field opportunities for community appearances and events.

During games, meet and greet fans, and coordinate and mediate on-field games to elevate the all-around fan experience. Be available for outside events to interact and create a positive, fun environment.
